We were in Saint Andrew’s for the Christmas displays throughout town, and decided to try the Windsor house for dinner.
What a fabulous personal experience it was! Jay, the owner treated all like a close friend. And actually, a few locals were just relaxing over a glass of wine beside the Christmas tree.
You know it’s the place to be when locals are hanging out and it’s about -12c outside.
Would definitely recommend we will stay there during our next trip to the beautiful Saint Andrew’s by the Sea..!
This was one of the best meals we have eaten in a long time! We heard about Windsor House after our arrival in St. Andrew’s and decided to give it a try. What a lovely evening! The setting was beautiful, elegant and relaxing. The meal was out of this world, and we had a hard time picking just a few dishes. They were superbly cooked and plated with only the freshest and finest ingredients, and each had a something out of the ordinary about them. The host, along with the staff, were welcoming and attentive, and made just enough conversation to make it feel like home. The chef consulted readily on selection and taste. It was a wonderful evening, and we are already looking forward to another visit!
Such a beautiful place! Jay was so accommodating with helping me find an available night. From the moment we walked in the door, we were in awe! Our room was beautiful, with a king size bed that was so comfortable. After checking in, we had drinks in the library bar and great conversation with Jay. Later, we came back to the bar for dessert! The chocolate rhubarb carrot cake was to die for! And thanks to Amy for taking care of us. She’s a gem. Would have loved to spend time in the courtyard, but the unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate. Think this may be an annual event for us!
Windsor House is a special gem in Saint Andrews
Windsor house is a lovely old home centrally located in Saint Andrews. The rooms are exquisite! I stayed in room #3 and I was treated to well-finished hardwood floors, nice comfortable chairs and a snug and cozy queen bed. The windows offer a nice view of town. There's a restaurant and bar but unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to enjoy them. I look forward to visiting them in the future because the food smelled delicious as I passed by on my way out to town.
